At Well Fitness, you can start training from the age of 14.
This is one of the lowest age limits among fitness chains in Poland.
- 18 years and over – You can register yourself, with no additional paperwork required.
- 14–17 years old – You may use the gym upon presentation of written consent from a parent or legal guardian in person at the club reception.
Important: Consent must be given in person by a parent or guardian at the time of registration – the guardian must be present at the club during the first visit. Consent provided solely in the form of a document submitted by the teenager is not sufficient.
Is strength training safe for teenagers?
Yes – and experts confirm this. A properly planned strength training programme does not hinder growth or harm a developing body. Quite the opposite.
The benefits of working out at the gym for 14–17-year-olds:
- Strengthening muscles, joints and bones during the crucial growth period
- Improving posture – particularly important when spending long hours sitting at school
- Stress reduction and improved mental well-being
- Building self-discipline and healthy habits that last a lifetime
- Increased self-confidence and self-esteem
What kind of workout should I choose to start with?
Just starting out? You don’t need to go for the heaviest weights straight away. Here’s what you should do to begin with:
The first few weeks:
- Bodyweight exercises – squats, push-ups, planks
- Light weights with a strong emphasis on correct technique
- Cardio – exercise bike, treadmill, elliptical trainer
What to avoid:
- Heavy loads without proper technique
- Training through the pain
- Comparing their results with those of experienced club members
